Dr. John Ferris is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Canada, a Professor Emeritus of History at the University of Calgary, and also a Fellow of CMSS. He is an Honourary Professor at The University of Aberystwyth and Brunel University, and an Associate Member of Nuffield College, Oxford. He has written five monographs and 120 scholarly articles and chapters, on air, diplomatic, imperial, international, intelligence, military and naval history, and strategic studies. His most recent work is the authorized history of the British cyber and signals intelligence agency, GCHQ.
