Defense at the Forward Edge of the Battle or rather in the Depth? Different approaches to implement NATO’s operation plans by the alliance partners, 1955-1988

Lt.Col. Dr. Helmut R. Hammerich is a researcher in the field of security studies and the armed forces. He received a PhD at the University of Potsdam on "Every Man for Himself and America against all?" NATO burden-sharing by the example of the Temporary Council Committee 1949-1954, in 2002. His research interests include the history of the Cold War, intelligence history, and military history of the early modern period.
