Strategic Influence Reconsidered: Defence Research and Combat Development in Canada’s Early Cold War Army

Major Andrew B. Godefroy, CD PhD, is a strategic analyst and historian with the Canadian Army Land Warfare Centre as well as editor-in-chief of the Canadian Army Journal. The author of several studies on modern Canadian defence and security, his most recent books are 'Defence & Discovery: Canada's Military Space Program, 1945-74' (UBC Press, 2011); as well as the forthcoming 'In Peace Prepared: Innovation and Adaptation in Canada's Cold War Army' (UBC Press, 2014).
