Author Biography

Major-General (ret'd) Cameron Ross, CMM, CD

Major-General (ret’d) Cameron Ross recently retired from the Canadian Forces. His last posting was as Director General International Security Policy at National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa. Prior to that, his service included Force Commander of the UN Disengagement Observer Force on the Golan Heights, Army Commander in Atlantic Canada, Base and Regimental Command positions. Foreign service included Cyprus, Germany, Middle East, Africa and New York. He holds a B.A. in Political Science from the Royal Military College of Canada and is the recipient of the Chief of Defence Staff Commendation. Major-General Ross also holds the rank of Commander in the Order of Military Merit and is an Officer in the Polish Order of Military Merit. Following his retirement in June 2003, he joined the Emergo Canada Ltd as Vice President for International Relations.
