David Peabody

Dave earned his degree in History from the University of New Brunswick in 1999. In between finishing that degree and starting grad studies, he spent a year enjoying the mountains in Fernie, BC before heading to Japan to live, work, and travel for three years. He returned to Calgary in 2003 and completed his Master’s thesis in August 2005. His thesis was title “The Challenges of Doing Good Work: The Development of Canadian Forces CIMIC Capability and NGOs.” His principle area of interest is in peacebuilding, with a focus on Afghanistan. Dave spends any free time he has climbing rock, ice, and mountains whenever he can, and generally enjoying being outdoors.
